Per the Kent County Department of Public Safey, Hartly's Fire and EMS district  starts at the northwest corner at the Maryland line, due west of the intersection of Pearsons Grove Road (C.R. 93) and Downs Chapel Road (C.R. 96), and proceeding east down the center line of Downs Chapel Road (C.R. 96) to the intersection of Downs Chapel Road (C.R. 95), where it runs the center line to the intersection of Underwoods Corner Road (C.R. 94), and then turns east down the center line of Underwoods Corner Road (C.R. 94) to the intersection of Hopewell Drive (C.R. 142).  Turning south down the center line of Hopewell Drive (C.R. 142), it runs to the intersection of Chance Road (C.R. 140).  The line then turns east, and runs southeast of Chance Road (C.R. 140), to the intersection of Sudlersville Road (S.R. 300) and Shaws Corner Road (C.R. 166), containing the area on the south side of that line.  At the intersection of Sudlersville Road (S.R. 300) and Shaws Corner Road (C.R. 166), the line turns southeast and runs straight to the intersection of Judith Road (C.R. 170) and Seeneytown Road (C.R. 168), and follows the center line to intersect with Dinahs Corner Road (C.R. 165).  At the intersection of Judith Road (C.R. 170) and Dinahs Corner Road (C.R. 165), the line turns southwest and runs to the intersection of Lockwood Chapel Road (C.R. 171), Pearsons Corner Road (C.R. 101), and West Dennys Road (C.R. 100), claiming the district on the west side.  The line turns east and runs down the center line of West Dennys Road (C.R. 100), to the intersection of Victory Chapel Road (C.R 163), where it turns south and runs down the center of Victory Chapel Road (C.R. 163) to Forrest Avenue (S.R. 8).  The line then follows an imaginary line south to the intersection of Pearsons Corner Road (C.R. 101) and Hazletteville Road (C.R. 73).  The line then turns southwest down the center line of Hazletteville Road (C.R. 73), to the intersection of Westville Road (C.R. 52), where Hazletteville Road (C.R. 73) intersects Westville Road (C.R. 206).  The line turns west down the center of Westville Road (C.R. 206), to the intersection of Pine Tree Road (C.R. 217), and runs the center of Pine Tree Road (C.R. 217) north to the intersection of Bryants Corner Road (C.R. 103).  The line then turns west and runs the center of Bryants Corner Road (C.R. 103), to where Hourglass Road (C.R. 103) intersects Bryants Corner Road (C.R. 219), and continues to run the center of Bryants Corner Road (C.R. 219) to the intersection of Tuxward Road (C.R. 220), where the line turns north and runs the center of Tuxward Road (C.R. 220) to the intersection of Halltown Road (S.R. 8).  The line then turns southwest, down the center line of Halltown Road (S.R. 8), to the intersection of Gunter Road (C.R 184).  The line turns northwest on Gunter Road (C.R. 184) and runs the center of Gunter Road (C.R. 184) to one quarter (¼) mile northwest of Taraila Road (C.R. 185), where the line turns west and runs to the Maryland line, and includes the area on the north side of that said line.
