Halltown Road MVC

In the late evening hours of June 17, 2024, Station 51 along with Station 56(Marydel), 46(Dover) and 41(Camden) were dispatched to an MVC with entrapment in the area of Royal Farms. Command 51 arrived on scene to find a single overturned vehicle 30 yards off the roadway into a wood area down an embankment. Dover Squad 1 arrived and placed a ground ladder from the road to the ground and stabilized the vehicle. Squad 51 cleared the wooded area with a chainsaw and gained access to the vehicle. One patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the landing zone that was secured by Squad 41. It took all members on scene 16 minutes from arrival to safely extricate the patient.
