MVC With Entrapment

In the afternoon hours of July 27th, Station 51 was dispatched along with additional Fire/EMS resources for an MVC with entrapment at Arthursville Road and Leager Road. Command 51 arrived on location minutes later and reported two patients with one being trapped. Crews from all agencies involved worked together in the heat to free the trapped occupant in 8 minutes utilizing multiple rescue tools and techniques. Once the patient was extricated and transport was initiated by DSP Trooper 4, command placed the scene under control and all units returned to service. Deputy Chief Morris had the command.
