Assist Cecil County with a High Angle Rescue

In the evening hours, Hartly's volunteers were dispatched as part of the Kent County Special Operations Team to assist Cecil County Station 1 (Cecilton) with a high angle rescue. Once 51 units arrived on location, crews were advised of a para glider that had crashed into a group of trees and was approximately 80 feet off the ground. Crews assisted with multiple operations until being released by command after a successful extrication. Crews operated for approximately 4 hours alongside companies from Kent County De., New Castle County De., Cecil County MD., Kent County Md. and Delaware County Pa.
