Working House Fire With Station 56

In the Afternoon hours of November 21st, Hartly's volunteers were alerted to assist Station 56 (Marydel) with a working house fire in the 1000 block of Halltown Road. Deputy Chief Morris (51-16) with in the area and arrived on location reporting a single story SFD with smoke showing. Crews from 56 and 51 arrived minutes later and deployed a hand line to extinguish the fire and complete a primary search of the residence. Interior crews discovered a small fire in a bedroom in which significant fire and smoke damage throughout the residence was limited due to the bedroom door being shut. Once the scene was placed under control, command turned it over to the DSFMO and returned all units.
