Fatal MVC

In the morning hours of September 26th, Station 51 was dispatched via 911 along with additional EMS resources for an MVC Rollover in the 2700 block of Pearsons Corner Road. Command 51 arrived on location minutes after dispatch and reported a single vehicle rollover with heavy entrapment. This started the next due rescue company from Station 46 (Dover Fire). Once 51 units arrived on location, crews were directed to begin stabilization and extrication. Crews preformed a side removal of the vehicle and once access to the patient was achieved, it was determined that the sole occupant was a Priority 4 patient and was subsequently pronounced by Kent County ALS. Units remained on scene for several hours to assist DSP and the State Medical Examiner with their investigations. Chief Fox had the command.
