Dumpster Fire

In the early afternoon hours of the above date, Station 51 was dispatched for an outside fire in the 5500 block of Judith Road. While units were enroute, Kent Center advised of a passerby reporting smoke coming from a construction dumpster. Command 51 arrived on location shortly after and confirmed the address and conditions. 51 units remained on scene for over an hour working with the contractor to fully extinguish the deep-seated fire. Once the fire was extinguished, the scene was placed under control and 51 units returned to service. Chief Read held the command.
