Tanker Company Assist On A 2 Alarm Barn Fire

In the evening hours of the given date, Station 51 was dispatched via 911 to assist Station 43 (Cheswold) with a working barn fire in the 2100 block of Dinah's Corner Road. Command 43 arrived on location minutes after dispatch and reported a large barn well off with exposures to other barns and requested a 2nd alarm be transmitted. Once 51 units arrived on location, crews assisted with fire suppression, exposure protection, overhaul and water supply operations. 51 units operated for approximately 3 hours before being released by command.
