Vehicle Fire & House Fire Assist
Tuesday, November 19, 2019

In the afternoon hours of November 19th, Hartly's volunteers were alerted for a vehicle fire in the 400 Block of Hartly Road. Once 51-3 arrived on location, crews observed a single passenger vehicle with the engine and passenger compartment involved. Once the fire was extinguished, command placed the scene under control and the scene was turned over to DSP upon their arrival. Assistant Chief Read had the Hartly Road command.

In the evening hours of November 19th while crews were conducting vehicle rescue training, Hartly's volunteers were again dispatched to assist Station 46 (Dover) with a working house fire. Once crews from Hartly arrived on location, they were directed to complete a primary search of the residence where several animals were removed. After operating for approximately 1 hour, crews were released and returned to service.
