MVC With A Door Pop

In the early morning hours of September 15th, Station 51 was alerted along with additional EMS resources for an MVC in the 1400 block of Hourglass Road. 51-17 arrived on location moments later and reported one patient whom was trapped with minor injuries and wires down. With that being reported, Station 56 (Marydel) was alerted for a rescue company to assist. Dover Fire was also alerted due to Rescue 51 being placed out of service. Once units arrived on location, crews went to work providing initial patient care, stabilizing the vehicle and preforming a door pop to extricate the patient. Once the patient was extricated, they were turned over to EMS resources and the scene was placed under control. Transport was initiated to an area trauma center and units returned to service. Captain Miller (51-20) had the command.
